Account settings
The cog in the top bar, or the address /settings directly.
Password, two-factor authentication and linked accounts on the left; personal details on the right.
Changing the password
The old password, the new one and its confirmation. The new one needs at least eight characters.
If you only ever sign in through Facebook, Google or Microsoft and have no password, set one through forgotten password on the sign-in screen.
Two-factor authentication
Worth turning on. Once it is, signing in asks for a six-digit code from an authenticator app as well as the password.
- Enable.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app — Google Authenticator, 1Password, Bitwarden and the like. If the code will not scan, enter the key by hand.
- Type in the code the app shows and confirm.
- Save the eight backup codes.
Each of the eight is used once, and they are how you sign in when you have no telephone to hand. Save them now — we cannot show them to you again.
Turning it off requires the password.
Linked accounts
Link Facebook / Google / Microsoft. A linked account can then be used to sign in instead of a password.
It can be unlinked at any time. If it is your only linked account, after unlinking you sign in with e-mail and password — and if you do not know it, set a new one through forgotten password first.
Personal details
Name, e-mail, sex and date of birth — yours, not the called people's. Those are set on the individual profiles.
Language and appearance
The switches are in the top bar, not in settings:
- CS / EN — the application's language,
- sun / moon / monitor — light theme, dark, or follow the system.
The choice is remembered in the browser you make it in.
Confirming your e-mail address
While your address is unconfirmed, the application carries a banner across the pages with a Send the link again button. Until you confirm it, no telephone number can be verified — so nothing can be called.
Closing the account
You may end the contract at any time, with no notice period and no penalty. Write to info@querybeam.eu; unused credit is refunded, see Credit and pricing.
